As you begin the application, please remember that you do not have to complete the application in one sitting - you may save your progress and continue at a later time. Once you have completed the application form to your satisfaction, submit your application by clicking the "Submit" button at the end of this form.
You may submit your application only once. After submission, you will not be able to make any changes. Therefore, be sure to review the online application form and all supporting documents before submitting.
Eligibility:
INTREPID is a rigorous program designed to meet the educational needs of health care professionals interested in immersion training in clinical research methodologies. Appropriate applicants may include:
Application Process:
Deadline: April 5, 2024 at 5PM EST.
A complete application consists of the following materials:
1. Completed application form.
2. Current curriculum vitae.
3. Official transcript (from undergraduate or most recently obtained degree)
4. A personal statement of no more than 500 words describing:
5. Your reasons for seeking this Summer Intensive Program in Translational Research. List any prior (if any) formal courses in statistics, informatics, or clinical research methods. And, your career plans and goals beyond this training program.
6. A brief letter of recommendation from a sponsoring faculty member or your mentor in support of your application. The letter should include a statement of your qualifications and/or aptitude for clinical research.*
7. A letter of support from your Dean, Department/Division Director, Clinic Director or Chair stipulating that you will have 100% of your time available for full-time coursework during the dates of the July intensive research course program. This letter should include a statement that you will be free from night and weekend in-house call duty during the program period. If your department/division has pledged to pay your tuition, the letter must also indicate that commitment (payment will then be arranged with your Department/Division Director). If you will be paying your tuition, please include a letter indicating this. You will be invoiced before the start of the program, with payment due before matriculation.*
